/This week, all three members of the group already booked out the zoom recorders from the media loans department and went into the city to beginning collecting some sounds. We started by recording simply recording main and busy roads to collect the sound of people walking, biking and travelling. Each one of us recorded the same sounds multiple times to ensure we had good quality captures and evidently clear/editable sounds to work with.
/This week, the group decided what our soundscape project’s style would be based upon. Our soundscape will be within the style of Music Concrete. The group also decided where we are going to record the individual parts for our music concrete, as it’ll be representing the life of a typical day in Lincoln. These locations/sounds include trains, the Lincoln Cathedral, busy main roads and the university campus.
